Flint, Michigan is a city of 100,000 people. With all that has been done to help the people of Flint, there is still no end to the crisis the people face. The points of distribution where people could pick up cases of bottled water have closed, but the people are still in danger.
WATERisLIFE has a simple short term and long term solution for the families of Flint.
- Immediate: Containers of donated bottled water to be sent to every school in Flint.
- Intermediate: Distribute, through the schools, 100,000 WATERisLIFE straw filters that eradicate lead and other waterborne contaminants to each person in Flint.
- Long term: Install a water treatment plant in each school in Flint. This will provide water to the students daily, and allow them to take as much home as they want.
The students at Michigan State University and the Brothers at the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity have been spearheading fundraising for the children of Flint. If you can help in Flint please contact, [email protected]
